1. What's the square footage of the new building?
The Library has 7,600 square feet, or 14,000 if you include the basement. Its footprint is about 12% larger than before.
2. What's the phone number for the Northeast Harbor Town Office?
Northeast Harbor is a village in the Town of Mount Desert and therefore has no town office of its own. The Mount Desert Town Office can be reached at (207) 276-5531.
3. Do you have computers?
Yes, computers with Internet access are available to our patrons. Get more info.
4. Do you have a book drop?
Yes, the book drop is located outside the main Library entrance.
5. Can I make photocopies at the Library?
Yes, photocopies cost 25 cents each.

The annual book sale is usually the first Saturday after Labor Day. The date will be posted on our calendar of events once it is decided.

Yes, please call before you come.
15. What do you do with the books in the winter?
The Library is nearly as busy in the winter as it is in the summer.

5¢ per day.
17. I would like to know more about my family geneology. Can you help?
Unfortunately, our many staff duties do not allow the opportunity to conduct geneological research. However, you are welcome to make an appointment to conduct your own research in our archives.
