Isaac T. Moore was a commercial photographer based in Northeast Harbor beginning in about 1903. He is known principally for his early landscapes of Mount Desert Island. However, he also did brochures, folios, advertising photography, and portraiture. His portrait photography, once extensive, is no longer well documented.

Moore's later work was primarily for the Knowles Company, documenting properties for which they served as rental or sales agent. His shop was in the small building Northeast's Main Street that is now occupied by Pine Bough Antiques.

The core of the Library's collection is a group of 186 contact images made in 1973 from 8' x 10" glass plates that are now lost. We also have several of his hotel brochures and real estate photos. To our knowledge, Moore's career was limited to Northeast Harbor, Seal Harbor, and the Cranberry Isles.
