Monday Evening Handicraft Group

Come join a group of community members in the joyous task of handicraft.  Bring your project; knitting, crocheting, sewing, embroidery, or any project you want and food for dinner.  On the fourth week of the month we bring food to share with the group.  Conversation and encouragement enjoyed by all.

Computer 101 Class

These are informal sessions to learn the basics of using email, social media, web browsing, word processing and more. Bring your own computer or borrow one of ours.  No registration is required and the classes are open to everyone, regardless of previous computer experience.

History of the Union River: A Panel Discussion

On Wednesday February 8th at 6PM the Northeast Harbor Library is hosting a panel discussion on the History of the Union River.  The panel consists of Nancy Alexander, historian, Mark Honey, local historian and Kevin Kline, COA faculty member.  They will discuss what life was like on the Union River in days past and its importance to us today.  This program is part of the Big Read, a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.  www.neabigread.org and Island Readers and Writers www.islandreadersandwriters.org

First Friday Coffeehouse

Open Mike begins at 7PM with MC, Blue Gene.  At 8PM a special guest performs.  Refreshments are on sale.  Donation are accepted at the door to support this program.

Genealogy for Beginners

On Saturday, March 24, from 10AM-Noon Kathy Upton will lead a beginner's workshop on genealogy.
