The Northeast Harbor Library is open year-round.
The Northeast Harbor Library serves as a public library for the Town of Mount Desert (the villages of Northeast Harbor, Somesville, Seal Harbor, Otter Creek, Pretty Marsh and Hall Quarry) and the Cranberry Isles. The Library also serves as the school library for Mount Desert Elementary School.
Patrons of our library will find the following:
• An adult collection of materials for personal enjoyment, research and education.
• A children’s collection full of materials for children of all ages.
• A special collection of Maine books and materials.
• An archive collection of photographs, pamphlets and blueprints about the town and its citizens.
• Seven patron-access computers.
• Internet Access and Wifi
• A friendly staff to assist you.
