The Northeast Harbor Library offers to all our friends around the world an improve- ment on the the custom made book bags that spread around the world in the 1980's and 90's.

Today's bags measure 13.5 x16 inches and are made of 12 ounce double stitched cotton duck with braded handles for long wear. The eleven inch handles are long enough that you may carry the bag on your shoulder. These bags are designed to carry significant weight. They are machine washable in cool water.

Our bags are made for us at the Screenprintery in Bar Harbor, which also made the earlier bags. Many of the older bags are still in use, they've lasted so long and well. Sorry, we can't accept the older bags as trade-ins.
